System Integration and Networking for Prasar Bharti

A major system integration and networking project for 76 locations of Prasar Bharti (All India Radio), New Delhi was undertaken. The project includes Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of Hard Disc based Digital Audio Workstations for Recording, Editing and Playback at studio centers located all over India.

Setting up of Community Information Centres (CICs) for State of Jharkhand

A project involved Setting up of Community Information Centre (CICs) with 24 hours connectivity at remote locations at block level within the State of Jharkhand was undertaken by C-DAC, Noida.

System Integration & Networking for School of Planning & Architecture

A project worth Rs.250 lacs for establishing a Campus Wide Network for SPA was executed. The scope of the project included hardware/software supplies/installation and networking (including fibre optics network for connecting two buildings).

Campus wide Networking for Diesel Locomotive Works, Varanasi

A project on Campus wide Network for DLW, Varanasi was initiated by the Unit.
A Study of the existing computer networking at DLW has been completed. The existing network is running on Novell Netware 4.2, HP-UX and Linux. The application running on the network is FOXPRO based system. For implementing the ERP Application, the network set up will be re-structured to cater to about 650 nodes connecting to a Central Server. As the Data Input requirements are high, enhanced CAT-5 network within the building connecting with fibre optical backbone running on Gigabyte speed was deciphered to be for the proposed network. The entire network will be Switch based and would be Scalable, Flexible and controllable from the network center using a Network Management Software. C-DAC Noida has supplied, configured, installed and commissioned the entire system.

Networking for Indian Council for Medical Research (ICMR)

A project for system integration and ethernet network implementation for ICMR, Delhi, NIV, Pune, NIM, Hyderabad and NIOH, Ahemdabad was undertaken by the Unit. The set-up is working at all the locations satisfactory.

System Integration for National Institute of Banking Studies and Corporate Management (NIBSCOM)

A project involved system integration consisting of setting up of Ultra modern classroom and conferencing hall with the help of 30 PCs integrated on dual server with fast Ethernet LAN network. Peripherals connected are in shared mode with all users. The platform of NT and Unix has been established on servers and nodes. This LAN is part and parcel of the Institute’s private network. The network is designed so as to make administration intelligent for conferencing, chatting, sharing resources and imparting domain based knowledge to experts, helping them understand power of IT tools in Banking environment.
