How do I get an admission in CDAC(MBA)?
A. To be eligible for MBA admissions, you need :
- B.E./
B.Tech in Computer Science, IT, Electronics &
Communication and similar streams with minimum of
60% marks,
- M.Sc(CS),
M.Sc(IT), M.Sc(Electronics) with minimum of 60% marks,
- MCA
with minimum of 60% marks.
You
would then be required to go through a Common Entrance Test. For further details, please go to the

What is the pattern of the written test for admission?
A. The written test is known as the COMMON ENTRANCE
TEST conducted in June every year. The test is a
Multiple Choice Question Paper comprising questions on
English Language & Comprehension, Numerical Ability
& Mathematics, Logical Reasoning & Data Interpretation
and Computer Science Ability.

Does the institute provide placement and internships to
students?
A. CDAC has a placement record has been exemplary, even during the economic
slowdown of 2001-2002. Even during internship, our students
have delivered well in revenue earning projects. Our recruiters
include giants like Wipro, TCS, MBT, IBM and many more.

Do all students get hostel facilities?
A. Hostel Facilities are availabe for outstation
candidates and local cadidates are provided with this
facility on first come first serve basis.Students get
to stay in a 5 - acre campus in the Noida sec-62 Institutional
area , which houses a cafeteria, mess, and beautifully
landscaped lawns. The CDAC campus provides a highly conducive
and stimulating environment to all its students.

Is there any transport facility provided?
A.Care is taken to provide all amenities
and facilities on campus. Besides this, there are shuttle
services from the campus to the city at regular intervals
that carry students to and fro from early morning till
late in the night.

Is the MBA recognized by AICTE?
A. CDAC MBA programme is affilited with Gobind
Singh Indraprastha University which is recognized by University
Grants Commission (UGC) of India under section 12B of
UGC Act and The Centre for Development of Advanced Computing
(C-DAC) is a National initiative of the Government of
India, Ministry of Communications & IT, to mobilize
human and technical resources in order to attain technological
advancement
.
Q. What is the format of the Common Entrance Test?
A.The Question Paper shall have 150 objective
type (multiple choices) questions from English Language
& Comprehension, Numerical Ability & Mathematics,
Logical Reasoning & Data Interpretation and Computer
Science Ability. Each question will be provided with four
alternative answers marked as (1), (2), (3), and (4).
Out of these, only one correct or most appropriate answer
should be selected and marked on the answer sheet. Each
question shall carry 1 mark, which shall be awarded for
each correct answer. There will be No negative
marking for incorrect answers.

On what parameters are candidates short-listed?
A. The final Merit List for admission will
be prepared on the basis of candidate's performance in
the Common Entrance Test (CET) 2008. In case, candidate
are securing equal aggregate marks then the evaluation
will be done according to the following criteria:
- The
candidates getting higher marks in Numerical Ability
& Mathematics shall rank higher.
- In
case of candidates securing equal marks in the aggregate
as well as in Numerical Ability & Mathematics
in CET, the candidate getting higher marks in Logical
Reasoning & Data Interpretation shall rank higher.
- In
case of candidates securing equal marks in the aggregate
as well as in Numerical Ability & Mathematics
and Logical Reasoning & Data Interpretation in
CET, the candidate getting higher marks in Computer
Science Ability shall rankhigher.
- In
case of candidates securing equal marks in the aggregate
as well as in Numerical Ability &
Mathematics, Logical Reasoning & Data Interpretation
and Computer Science Ability in CET, the
candidate getting higher marks in English Language
& Comprehension shall rank higher.
